This summer while back at home in sunny southern California I took a few pics of my mom’s flowers under the bright afternoon sun. In this pic the sun is directly behind the flower and beautifully backlighting it. I wanted to capture the feeling of a flower blossoming at the peak of it’s glory.
The flower’s glory is hidden within the seed until one day that life within burst with radiance to showforth all it’s beauty. Such a description reminded me of the Lord’s transfiguration on the mount where He gave a short glimpse of the glory that was hidden within Him, but that would be later manifested after His death and resurrection.
“And He was transfigured before them, And His garments became sparkling, exceedingly white, such as no fuller on earth could whiten them.” Mark 9:2
